Croatian-born designer Damir Doma grew up in Germany, where he studied fashion in Munich and in Berlin. He trained under Raf Simons before striking out on his own, launching his first menswear collection for Spring Summer 2008, following this with his debut womenswear collection in 2010. Damir Domahas gone on to carve out a strong and recognizable style of masculine avant-garde silhouettes.
Damir Doma SS13 Menswear Collection shows off Damir Doma techniques of soft tailoring and flowing volume of swaddling cloth with outstanding selected fabrics such as raw cotton, wool and washed leather. His much-layered, loose aesthetic is built by piling piece on piece. This layered look Damir Doma continues to favor this season, but he's sharpened it by pulling in the straps—often literally.
He's been making drop-crotch shorts for about as long as he's been in business, they are presented with contemporary jackets and an open-weave sweater. Damir Doma designs quality luxury items, following a purist philosophy, while retaining as much of the fabric’s raw and organic form as possible.
