Issey Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer renowned for his creations with fabric and his use of technology to produce innovative garments. Miyake has designed for the likes of Givenchy and Geoffrey Bean and began his own design studio in 1970. Miyake debuted his first collection in New York in 1971 and began participating in Paris Fashion Week from 1973. His unique concept of clothing as "A Piece Of Cloth" established in 1999 was widely acclaimed throughout the world from the very beginning.
Introduced in 2000, 'Bao Bao' designed by Issey Miyake, delivers a collection of bags and pouches based on ‘shapes made by chance’.
