Comme Des Garcons x Andy Warhol
27 Oct 2017
The collaboration between Comme des Garcons and the Andy Warhol Foundation pays homage to Warhol’s original 1967 work in which he spray-painted a series of Coke bottles silver and filled them with his own yellow coloured citrus perfume. The artist was always at the centre of controversy and it was no surprise the project was contested by Coca-Cola and subsequently abandoned. As a quote from Warhol himself on one of the bottles ironically points out - “Art is what you can get away with”. Inspired by the original scent, Comme Des Garcons have added a heavy dose of perfuming experience to create something that is both old and new. The scent has top notes of bitter orange, middle notes consist of jasmine and base notes of cashmere wood. The matt silver bottles are housed in bright red and yellow packaging with bold Warhol-inspired graphics, all embracing his creative pop art aesthetic and vivid colour scheme. Each bottle has a different quote from one of art's most iconic and revered eccentrics. Choose your favourite bottle now at Hervia.com or give it as a gift with our stunning gift wrap seen below.
