Dsquared2 Fall-Winter 20 Pre-Collection
For FW20, Dean and Dan Caten delve into preppy British culture. The pre-collection features flashy 80's hues and prints, retro sportswear pieces emblazoned with varsity-inspired patches and raw denim pieces with that distinct Dsquared2 touch.
The twin designers spoke to Vouge about the origins of the collection, saying “We’re Canadian, and Canada being part of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth is actually our queen!”. At the heart of the pre-collection is Dsquared2's take on sportswear and Britain's passion for sports. Immaculate tailoring combined with bold logo prints, luxurious knitted scarves adorned with embroidered varsity monikers, as well as long trench coats printed with a plethora of Dsquared2 logo's and slogans.
For the womenswear, denim prevails. Distressed mini dresses, shearling corset tops and patchwork tote bags all rendered in Dsquared2's unique take on distressed and washed-out denim. Other notable mentions include an oversized vibrant red poncho windbreaker as well as a matching tailored woollen blazer and trousers with sleek logo webbing that runs along the seams.
