Gosha Rubchinskiy SS17 Coming Soon
Having shown his past collections entirely in Paris, for SS17 Gosha took a new direction. Set in an abandoned tobacco factory - “the only Soviet-looking building in Florence” as his stylist Lotta Volkova described - the show could've been pulled right from one of his infamous lookbooks. Whilst in Florence one must experience the local culture thus Gosha debuted a homage to the country’s illustrious fashion heritage. Not it's luxury labels but it's sportswear: for the show he collaborated with five, yes five, iconic Italian labels. Football casual-favorite Sergio Tacchini supplied the plush red tracksuits, while Kappa gym gear was on show along with yet more tracksuits. This mass produced sportswear athleti-leisure is a rebellious symbol against the communist regime for which Gosha grew up in. FILA sweaters and Tennis Classic sneakers were also given a Soviet makeover whilst Hervia favourite, Retrosuperfuture, completed the 90's revival with some oversized rave-ready sunglasses. If 90's Italian sportswear isn't your thing, Gosha's mainline collection included striped sweaters, stone-washed jeans and yin-yang graphics galore. Keep an eye out at Hervia.com for the latest Gosha Rubchinskiy updates.
