New to Hervia: Honey Fucking Dijon

Whilst performing for the COMME des GARÇON 2017 Met Gala afterparty, fashions favourite DJ, Honey Dijon mesmerised the crowds of people with her eminently funk-filled collage of house/disco music. Amongst the crowd was one of the most prominent figures in fashion, Adrian Joffe, the president of CDG, and long-time fan of Dijon's music. When the two met there was an instant creative connection, thus laying the foundations for future collaborations.

Three years later, Honey Dijon is launching her very own line of leather bags, wallets and t-shirts inspired by a friend's homemade t-shirt emblazoned with the words "Honey Fucking Dijon". Dijon spoke to i-D about her collection, saying "With Honey Fucking Dijon, I wanted to create things that had cultural currency and a relationship to what I do as a DJ. Everything I made, the bags, for example, had to have a purpose. It had to be multifunctional too—the USB case could function as a wallet, and the record case could function as a tote, or a small travel bag, the headphone case could work as a simple clutch if you’re going out at night. It’s agender, anybody can use or wear it."
