12 Apr 2017

With Summer fast approaching we have delved into this season's must-have trends; sure to give your wardrobe that much needed style re-fresh. From Rihanna in Gingham print to Alexa Chung wearing ruffles, we're sure you'll be inspired with three great selections below:

'Gingham' is a statement, chequered pattern that is extremely versatile - whether it be a shirt, skirt or dress, this classic print can be dressed up or down to suit. Forget any school uniform nostalgia, this is a trend that is here to stay. Thom Browne was one of a host of designers experimenting with this popular print. Browne's genius lies in his ability to create a clean cut everyday wardrobe staples and his new season Gingham dress epitomises just that. The shirt dress features a woven Thom Browne brand patch on the front and a floral panel on the back, making it the perfect light-weight dress for Summer.

One of the more extravagant trends this season, and a detail that can be as subtle or as exaggerated as one dares; ruffles were previously only for the brave however with a bit of creativity they can be easily integrated into your wardrobe, offering a traditionally feminine touch. Born from the Italian Avant Garde, the MSGM design house are consistently on the pages of Vogue with their trend setting collections - this season's runway collection was filled with plenty of ruffled details and this MSGM Ruffle Tank Top is great for subtly adding a hint of this trend to your wardrobe. Trend Tip: Layer with a high-neck shirt for a more dressed-up look.

The varsity-print trend dominates catwalks across the globe season after season; taking reference from classic American high school sports with chunky, bold typography and graphics. For his Spring Summer collection, acclaimed Japanese designer Junya Watanabe was one of a host designers inspired by vintage varsity sportswear, and created a collection filled with graphic pieces such as this Japanese-made, must-have graphic T-Shirt.
