Design star and Central St Martins graduate, London based designer Christopher Kane set the catwalk alight in 2006 with his amazing debut collection of neon bandage dresses. Since then his pretty yet provocative styles have earnt him a cult celeb following with coquettish cocktail dresses and eclectic chic prints adorning his fabulous collections season after season.
For Autum/Winter 2012 Kane's collection was an array of crisp frosty tones ranging from bright whites and nudes to glimmer greys, seen predominantly on dresses, shirts, long-style coats and shorts. Sheer fabrics were printed with cartoon-like, bold, bountiful floral designs giving an overall charming feel to the collection, while men’s t-shirts and hoodies were adorned with contrastingly harsh mechanical machinery prints to add a quirky touch to the collection. There was a large emphasis on sharp edges and folded like shapes to create boxy designs proactively clashed with girly floral prints for women.
