With a signature tough-luxe aesthetic, Irish designer Tom Binns continues to channel contemporary elegance with directional detailing season after to season to produce collections of the coolest jewellery around. Beginning his career in 1981, Binns sourced great creative inspiration from the early twentieth century Dada movement, drawing from it themes of deliberate irrationality, anarchy, and the rejection of standard beauty ideals and social organisation which grew into what is now his famous signature style adored by many worldwide. The creative direction and vision of his unique designs combining toughness and elegance soon went on to win him many awards from Accessories Designer of the Year in 2006, to The British Fashion Council’s Best Accessories Designer Award in 2007 and the Elle Style Awards for Best Jewellery Designer in 2010.
With Tom Binns jewellery appearing in every fashion publication you could dream of from Dazed to Vogue, and celebrity fans as diverse as Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Cate Blanchett to name a few, his jewellery designs know no bounds with something to make every woman feel elegant and stylish day or night. For Autumn/ Winter 2012 a playful yet punky collection from Binns gives us luxurious, unique jewellery contrasting skulls, safety pins and zips alongside crystal and gems to create something out of this world to suit many tastes.
